Problem using Optool 2.12

I don't know whether this problem arose when I upgraded from
the last version, or if it just appeared out of the blue one
day. Faded memory, because it's been occurring for quite a
while, and I'm just getting around to posting about it.

Anyway, here's the problem: it works differently depending
upon whether or not both browsers are already open to web
sites.

Say I have Opera open to a page that I want to open in IE.
When I hit the shortcut, if IE isn't already open, Optool
works correctly: the page opens in IE. But if IE is already
open to a different page, Optool simply switches me from
Opera to IE, but IE doesn't switch to the new page (i.e.,
the one that was active in Opera).

Likewise, if I have IE active and hit the shortcut key, when
the switch to Opera occurs, the new page replace the one
that had been active in Opera. I believe that it used to be
that the new page would open in Opera as the active page,
but the page that earlier was the active page would still be
there, albeit no longer as the active page.

Any idea what's going on and how to fix it?

I uninstalled and reinstalled Optool, but it didn't do any
good.

BTW, I have Optool installed on two computers, one with
Win2k and one with WinXP, Windows fully updated on both, but
with an older version of Optool on Win2k. The problem occurs
only on the machine with WinXP and the newer version of
Optool. I'm using Opera 8.54 on both machines.

Thanks.

Hi Bob,

I just tried and it works as it should. But this is Opera 7, I will try
Opera 8 later.
