Optool 2.1 is released
======================

Finally! Optool 2.1 is here...

What is Optool?

Optool is a utility that makes it very easy to see the same web
page in different browsers without cutting and pasting the URL. With
only a press on a hotkey, Optool will either bring up a menu from which
you can select the target browser or you can make it switch immediately
between two browsers of your choice. It also makes it very easy to close
browser windows, or to navigate the browser to the parent, root or
domain root URL.

Features:

* Supports Opera (all versions), Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape Browser,
Netscape 4.x, Internet Explorer (even multiple installations), Netcaptor
* Add custom browsers
* Invoke Optool by customizable hotkey, tray icon or long right clicks
* Optool can respond on URLs copied to the clipboard. Nice for links in
text documents
* Navigate the browser to the parent, root or domain root URL
* Resize current window to any predefined size, including custom sizes
* Close all browsers, all other browsers or just browser windows related
to the one you're working with.
* Create internet shortcuts on the desktop, favorites folder or where
ever you like
* Optool will run on any Windows 32 bit system (95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP)

New in 2.1:

* Long right clicks
* Go to domain root
* Custom window sizes for resizing windows
* Close all other browsers
* Close original browser
* Make target browser same size and position as original
* More compact and logical menu structure
* Optionally hide disabled menu items

Not being "venkat", I can't tell you :-> Installation (just a few
minutes before posting this msg) of Optool 2.1 worked like a charm
here :-)

I'm using Windows 2000 Prof (SP4, [de]) with browsers
Mozilla 1.7.5
IE 6.0 (SP1)
Opera 8.01
Firefox 1.0.4

Best regards,
-Heribert

I think I have found the cause. The new long right feature seems to be
at least partly incompatible with Windows 98.

May I send you a testversion to see if my theory is correct? If so,
please send me a mail. Use this email address or go to Optool's site.

Thanks,
Martin Larsen
