Cute!

Security zone manager.

I've been running spywareblaster and some adware
protection.

I look at virus writers as about as convincing as any
Muslim extremist that needs to saw their enemies head off.

Now the problem of adware/spyware is entirely different.
Opera needs URGENTLY to let people know they aren't
spyware. Cause' this problem isn't getting any better. I
am almost at point of calling any further sw upgrades
quits. Between spyware, and dependant reg settings, and
dropped features, it often isn't worth the effort.

The difference is tooo subtle.
Each time you open new page or click the link, Opera send URL if that
page to Google.
Is this spying or not ?

Someone needs to stop spreading FUD, and read up on Google's ad policy…

For every page you visit your IP is sent to the server, is this spying or
not?

It is not "spying" because Opera is completely up front in telling you
what it's doing and that it needs to do it to provide particular
functionality (related ads) and that functionality is entirely optional.

Opera can't be spying if you knowingly tell Opera to do it.

http://www.grc.com/oo/cbc.htm
sets reasonable standards and Opera is on the right side of them.

Just tired of expaining to others that Opera isn't
spyware. This is Opera's job to communicate better--in
the install, reviews (I assume some interviewing is done
with many reviews online) and operation for new users.

I also think the the support and listening to users, is
Opera's greatest strength so far. Unless, software is
flawless and super simple (very few work without
glitches), there is no point in operating any piece of
software without good support. Else you commit your self
to hundreds of hours more than normal.
